Mission & Goals

About Us

There is no single definition of success at Developmental Educational and Behavioral Outcomes (DEBO). For some, success is the ability to reach new goals in the community. For others, it is the ability to respect and trust someone new. For employees as well as shared living providers, success is rooted in their ability to make a difference in the lives of others.

We believe that feeling safe, loved, engaged, and loving back are the foundation of support. We share with others:

"You are safe with me, always and everywhere. It is far better to be together than to be isolated and alone. It is good to learn the meaning and depth of my loving expressions. It is good to learn to express loving back to me, to yourself, and to others."

We believe that personalized services and meaningful relationships have the power to transform lives, and we see that in action each day. Our home- and community-based services deliver meaningful outcomes that positively impact the lives of those we serve.

DEBO requires, expects, and promotes ethical practices at all levels of the organization in accordance with its Quality of Care Standards, Code of Conduct, and the laws and regulations governing the communities in which we serve.

Quality Improvement

Continuous quality improvement is built on proven policies and procedures; a focus on continued learning and clinical advancements; experienced leadership; and a commitment to meaningful outcomes. An individual’s team, clinicians, medical practitioners, and other professionals serve as a resource to operations. Together, we create an organizational culture focused on accountability, service excellence, and measurable results.

Achieving Excellence in Service Delivery

Service excellence through quality begins with a commitment from every DEBO employee. It is a commitment we share across all service types and settings. Achieving service excellence means being the best at what we do by fulfilling our promises to the people and families we serve—and supporting them as they lead healthy, productive lives.

At DEBO, we’ve identified the key domains that lead to enhanced quality-of-life experiences for the individuals we serve.

Environment

Clean and welcoming environments are designed to meet the needs of those we serve and our employees in compliance with licensing and accrediting agency requirements.

Health and Safety

We provide access to comprehensive health and wellness services, including physical and mental healthcare as well as dental care.

Individual Service Plans

Individual Service Plans (ISPs) are designed to reflect the goals, preferences, and unique needs of each individual we serve. They evolve over time with the individual.

Behavioral Support Plans

Developed on a case-by-case basis and integrated into an individual’s ISP as needed, Behavioral Support Plans help those we serve live successfully in the community of their choice.

Community Life

We empower those we serve to set the direction for their lives and fully experience the richness of community life.
